Bring a folding chair if you're local. If you're traveling from afar, don't worry we've got an extra for you.

There is an out-house, hand washing sink and outdoor shower (new) on site.

Be sure to get in touch if confused or we can match people with spare rooms at their rentals.

If you want stay on-site, your options are:
- Camping
We will have a camping zone, so people can share resources. It includes an out house and shower. It will be close to the BBQ, and other amenities (see Food + Drink).
Pitch a tent or sleep in pickup tray with canopy or back of big car.
Bring a warm sleeping bag, nights are cold!

This is the closest, about a 15 minute drive Pioneertown Motel (call if you don't see availability online)

- AirBnB
There are lots of AirBnBs in the Pioneertown area. But please be aware, they will almost all be further than walking distance from Rockwood.
Search Gamma Gulch Rd, the closer to there the better.

WEATHER REPORT

This is high desert, not Palm Springs (low desert) -- so it is quite a bit cooler, but we're still looking at days in high 80s and lows in the 50s.
​
Sunset is 7:40p, meaning last light is around 8:10p. The moon won't rise until after midnight this year so expect starry nights. You'll want a flashlight for getting around at night, headlamp best.

Golden "hour" starts to kick in around 6p until an hour after sunset. Don't miss that, it is spectacular.
CLOTHING
Here are the necessities:
Wear covered footwear - sandals and flip flops may result in cactus spines in feet. Long pants recommended too.
The key is comfort, sun protection and style. Have a warmer layer for the evening.
Desert sun - so bring shades, a hat and sunscreen.
At night always carry a flashlight, head lamps are key.
In general... unleash your inner psychedelic cowboy/girl.
